We are a legionmind of 40+ individuals, a handful of facets, and countless fragments. Our total headcount hovers at around 60 (including individuals and facets), 10 of which being frequent fronters. Some newer members and those who may not front often may post their "about" here.
A Legionmind (or Legionminded plural) is a plural who's plurality feels less like "minds or parts sharing a body" and more like "multiple unique entities sharing a mind and body, but still with their own minds and sometimes bodies elsewhere."
The rest of the description can be found in the linked Tumblr post, but it works on multiple universe/multiverse theory and the thought that it is possible to connect to these realities in the mind.
Traumagenic or not, disordered or not can use the term.
In this context, "member" refers to the individual entities that make up the legionmind. We use this term as an alternative to "alter" because of its openness in who it includes, and the distance from medical terminology. Our system is a mix of "alters" (members formed because of and/or to handle trauma or stress), tulpas/thoughtforms, introjects of many kinds, fragments, and facets.
We technically qualify for a DID diagnosis including levels of dysfunction and distress, however we do not want to see our plurality as strictly medical nor do we find our plurality to be inherently distressing. This is also why we use the term "legionmind."
